From the NWGA ~
There is mounting evidence that the country will experience dry and hot conditions towards the summer season. These conditions may promote regional or localised drought. It is recommended that medium and shorter-range weather forecasts be monitored for the development of conditions that may alter or strengthen the expectation of the current forecast.
In response, the NWGA has set up a category with the title DROUGHT MANAGEMENT on its website in an effort to proactively assist farmers with drought management. Links to articles relating to the effective management and feeding of sheep in drought conditions and the utilisation of agave (garingboom) as additional feeding source for sheep, are but a few of the information pieces to consider in this looming dry period.
